Maegan Young

Chief of Youth Defense Division

Maegan Young graduated from Florida State University with a B.S. in Criminology and from Saint Thomas University College of Law with her J.D. and a dual M.S. Degree in Sports Administration. As Chief of the Youth Defense Division, she represents children in juvenile drug court, commitment programs, and direct-file and leads a team of zealous youth defenders. At PD-15, Maegan has worked with the office in the misdemeanor, juvenile, felony, direct filed juvenile and serious crimes divisions where she has tried a variety of jury and non-jury trials; and as the former Chief of the County Court and the County Court Resource Attorney. She is licensed to practice in the state of Florida, U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida and U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida.
